There are two categories of accommodation offered on our Italy tours. All hotels have rooms with private bathrooms. We always request quiet rooms.
Hotels used during our chauffeured tours in Italy
Most of the rooms have a television and telephone, but in some cases (even in the most luxurious establishments) one or both of these features might be missing. Please inform us ahead if they are needed. By default, we request non-smoking rooms. Air conditioning may not be as commonplace in Italy and is likely to be available only in some establishments of the "Luxury" category. Please ask for it specifically if it is important to you.
Please see our
cuisine
page to learn about the restaurants offered for each of these categories.
Boutique Accommodation
This style of accommodation is very popular on our tours. The establishments tend to be small, and each of them has its own personality. Unless there is no other choice, we do not book chain hotels. The room is of reasonable size, and the hotel location is attractive.
Our "Boutique" prices mentioned on this website include private local guides (you travel with your private driver-interpreter, and local specialist guides complement his knowledge).

Luxury Accommodation
If only the best is good enough for you, then this is the accommodation category you want. The establishments are simply the best available in the overall area, and within each establishment we book the best available room for you.
Our "Luxury" prices mentioned on this website include private local guides (you travel with your private driver-interpreter, and local specialist guides complement his knowledge). Of course, meals and wine are of corresponding standard (see our
cuisine page).

Because A La Carte Italy Tours organizes small group tours, we get the chance to stay in some of the most amazing estates in Italy that could not possibly host large groups.
We strive to accommodate you in establishments that are
- quiet
- picturesque
- carefully maintained and serviced
- clean
- and convenient
