We were very happy with our tour with Claudio. My wife and I went to Italy and toured the Amalfi area in September of last year. Claudio was very professional and helpful in all aspects of our trip. At times we wanted to be by ourselves and he arranged everything we wanted to do and gave us our space. We were there for our 20th anniversary and he had some friends on the coast who ran a Michelin rated restaurant and hotel and planned a lovely evening for us on our anniversary.
For our lodging, we requested luxury, non big box hotels. The choices he came up with were outstanding. He accompanied us to the room to make sure that everything was to our liking.
We were all inclusive as well and all dining was excellent. We would have luxury dinners, and also would find small gelaterias or small cafes on the square to enjoy local wines and people watch.
Claudio is very attentive. My wife and I would eat at the hotel for breakfast and particularly liked the buffalo mozzarella and tomatoes. I asked him if it was really 'buffaloes' that made the cheese and if they were like our buffaloes in the US. On one of the days when we were out touring, he found a cheese factory and arranged for us to stop and view the process, eat fresh cheese and see the buffaloes (water buffaloes).
Another time my wife asked in passing if there were castles in Italy and that she had never seen one. He found a privately owned castle on one of our routes and he arranged for us to take a tour of the 11th century castle.
We have been to Italy before and I decided that for our anniversary we would use a personal guide just so that we would not have to hassle with the little things. We ended up learning so much more with Claudio and experienced more of the local flavor than we ever could have on our own (and no hassles!). I think that using Claudio for your trip will really make your trip more memorable and enjoyable.
I know that it might sound like I am related to Claudio, or that I own his business, but really I don't have anything bad to say.

My wife and I feel that Claudio did an excellent job. By the second day we felt that we were travelling with a friend, rather than a hired driver / guide. The itinerary he planned was based on our requests, but took us to places we'd probably never have found, and he was always happy to revise the plans if we did make a suggestion as we went along, perhaps because of something we spotted on the map or a sign we saw as we travelled. And we ate and drank well the whole time.
